The Plant Manager is responsible for all facets associated with the efficient and safe operation of the material recovery facility (MRF) that complies with all local, state and federal laws
JOB REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE
Good understanding of how recycled material flows and is processed through a material recovery facility.
Plant maintenance procedures including electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
Microsoft office including MS Outlook, Word and Excel
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Good analytical skills including the capture and analysis of pertinent date to determine changes needed to optimize production process.
Ability to organize and delegate work responsibilities as necessary
Excellent organizational, time management & multi-tasking skills.
Supervisory and intrapersonal skills
Self motivated and goal oriented
Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language, Spanish a plus.
Ability to work with all levels of staff and management as well as all customers, large and small, commercial or municipal.
EXPERIENCE
5 years of industrial environment supervisory experience
Proven track records in material recovery facilities with a minimum of 8 years experience.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
JOB DUTIES
Direct supervision of 80 full time employees including sorters, equipment operators, laborers, plant leads and supervisors.
Manage all site activities to ensure attainment of all objectives with respect to budgets, forecasts, operational costs and asset utilization.
Training of all staff and employees in conjunction with operational needs, compliance and safety requirements.
Organizational and staff planning.
Coordinate plant maintenance activities with production schedules.
Identify cost and efficiency opportunities with respect to facilities services such as property maintenance, energy management, safety supplies and equipment and security.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
