Job Summary

The Racking and Automation (R&A) Account Executive is a member of the Racking and Automation team. The R&A Account Executive works with the Equipment Account Executives (AE), the New Business Development Group (NBD) and Sales Teams from affiliated Onpoint Companies to identify potential opportunities for sales. Once the opportunity is identified, it is the role of the R&A Account Executive to understand the application, assess opportunities and develop solutions for the customer. The R&A Account Executive will have their own gross profit target and earn commission for their sales.

The successful candidate is extremely organized and able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously. They are friendly and demonstrate excellent communication skills, especially phone and written skills. They are persuasive and able to close sales remotely. This role is knowledgeable about customer applications and material handling equipment. They use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce and other programs on a daily basis to develop solutions, input orders, track status and follow internal processes in conjunction with the Transaction Managers. account executive.

  • Work with Equipment Account Executives, NBD Specialists and affiliated sales teams to identify opportunities.
  • Build customer relationships in partnership with the affiliated teams .
  • Visit locations with the sales team to assist in application profile development.
  • Gather quotes from vendors and present solutions.
  • Create all necessary documentation and obtain approvals.
  • Work with other teams to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Keep Salesforce updated.
  • Assist Project Managers in the implementation of installation plans.
  • Keep current with material handling equipment industry developments to gain expertise.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint expected.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce preferred.
  • Highly Motivated to achieve goals.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial applications.
  • Must be organized and have ability to prioritize multiple objectives and tasks.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated understanding of key business drivers.
  • Experience with software and controls is a plus.
  • Material handling equipment knowledge and experience a plus.
  • Travel up to 90%
