Summary Job Description Organize and manage Quality resources to achieve inspection function while ensuring Company meets on time delivery objectives. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company's ISO system.

Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for inspection including tools, dies, incoming materials, in-process materials, and final product. Compliance to customer or the company's requirements must be monitored. Ensure safety practices are followed in the fabrication and inspection of all products.
  • Direct and coordinate review of customer documents to determine quality requirements.
  • Oversee certification documentation process prior to final shipment.
  • Determine whether existing company quality procedures are adequate to meet the customer requirements. Advise other Company functions of any new or unusual requirements.
  • As needed, direct and coordinate development of new quality procedures to fulfill requirements in the most efficient way possible for all ongoing and new business.
  • Coordinate systems for the qualification and/or certification of personnel as required by customer or company's specifications. This covers certification of inspectors for specific types of NDE testing and includes establishment of required plans as well as maintenance of a follow-up system to ensure certification and qualifications are pursued to ensure adequate and competent coverage for all company's inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate systems for the qualification and/or certification of processes and equipment as required by customer or Company's specifications. This covers calibration of all appropriate equipment and includes establishment of required plan as well as maintenance of a follow-up system to ensure certification and qualifications are pursued on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate a system for the determination of the cause of nonconformance and the establishment of the corrective actions necessary to eliminate and prevent nonconformance. Follow-up on identified corrective actions to ensure that they are implemented and effective.
  • Direct and coordinate evaluation of Company's Quality Management System through internal audits of our system to evaluate the design of the system(s), conformance to the requirements, and for continued improvement opportunities.
  • Provide statistical analysis and/or visual presentation of various quality measurements to aid in evaluation of manufacturing or quality processes.
  • Coordinate a system, in conjunction with Purchasing, for the periodic evaluation of suppliers to determine their suitability for performing work and/or their performance level on work being done. This responsibility covers the suppliers performance as it relates to their ability to provide a quality product to the company on time. Support source inspections at suppliers facilities as required.
  • Direct and coordinate maintenance of all Quality records, including those related to jobs to demonstrate compliance with specification requirements from receipt of customer Purchase Order to final shipment of products.
  • Direct and facilitate moving the company towards AS9100 ISO compliance.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives as necessary to facilitate quality survey and audits, source inspections, and communication regarding product related issues.
  • Support administration of the company Work Order system including establishment of all necessary training programs and controls to ensure general adherence by DynaEnergetics hourly and administrative staff.
  • Understand specific Quality system requirements related to CPI, ASME/ASTM Code work, Mil Specs and other relevant systems imposed upon our company by customers.
  • Identify Quality cost-reduction opportunities and manage structured implementation programs to capture all savings possible.
  • Implement and maintain Visual Quality Module.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Close supervision involving assigning work, giving frequent instructions, and checking work. Maybe responsible for giving input into hiring employees, salary, and performance reviews. May aid in setting some performance goals for employees that impact immediate employee.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree from four-year college or University.
5-7 years Operational Management experience.
o Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as specifications, purchase orders, technical operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and employees of other locations both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information where required.
Knowledge of general computer programs including Microsoft Office products, email, and the Internet.
Ability to understand and abide by safety guidelines as required by DMC.
Ability to use creative thinking to devise new methods for process improvement.
Ability to work with probability and statistical information, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Perform mathematical conversions or calculations. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram form and deal with variables.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers in written and verbal form.
  • Knowledge of general computer programs including Microsoft Office products, email and the Internet.
  • Ability to understand and abide by safety guidelines as required.
  • Ability to read and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, vendors, and employees
Physical Demands Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 10lbs frequently
