The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County is seeking an experienced, skilled, and highly motivated Membership Assistant to support the Director, Arsht Center Fund and Development Operations.

Position Description
This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the membership component of Development. This position must grasp the “big picture” while providing attention to detail. This position reports to the Director, Arsht Center and Development Operations and has contact with members.
Responsibilities:
- Works to facilitate prompt fulfillment of new membership commitments;
- Responds to telephone and email inquiries from members;
- Fulfills member benefits to include ticket, event or other Center service requests and coordinates all aspects of member activity;
- Maintains and updates member records in Tessitura database, including gift entry;
- Prepares, prints, collates and mails acknowledgement letters and tax receipts for members;
- Maintains membership reports;
- Maintains inventories of all membership recruitment and fulfillment materials;
- Assists in the coordination and arrangement of meetings, Membership tours and the calendar for membership department;
- Coordinates onsite membership marketing at various community events, and attends when necessary;
- Maintains accurate and updated member files (database, electronic and paper), in a timely manner and according to established protocols;
- Coordinates mailings and e-mail blasts;
- Prepares spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, etc. related to the Membership activities;
- Drafts and prepares letters, proposals, fact sheets, presentations and additional materials as needed;
- Provides administrative support through the cultivation and solicitation process;
- Primary point of contact for member benefit fulfillment;
- Assists in the execution of the departmental membership plan to ensure fundraising goals are met;
- Departmental liaison with Box Office for fulfillment of member benefits;
- Performs related and other duties as assigned by the Director, Arsht Center Fund and Development Operations
Note: This position requires flexibility in scheduling the workday, as this position requires irregular hours.
Ideal Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent in work experience preferably in business, accounting or related field.
- Two years of experience with organization, coordination and performance of duties at a responsible level.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
- Good writing and editing skills.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Tessitura and Artifax.
- Experience at a performing arts organization, museum, university, or other cultural organization.
- Familiarity with the South Florida arts community.
- Experience working in a large, complex organization and general venue operations knowledge.
- Understanding of how to function effectively in a multi-ethnic work environment and community.
- Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
- Bi-Lingual.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, communicate, and use repetitive motions.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee may frequently lift and or move 20 pounds of materials.
- The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands from multiple people and interact with the public and other staff.
