Director of Finance

The ACR is a $140MM non-profit organization composed of 4 legal entities and 13 unique functional areas, which support our members, patients, and the radiology community through a robust and diverse set of programs, activities, products, and services. The Director of Finance will have breadth of exposure to all aspects of ACR through oversight of the organization’s financial performance and will partner with senior program leaders to provide insights to executive-level audiences and influence business decisions.
ACR is looking for a leader with a passion for innovation and data. The right candidate will have strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. S/He will lead the FP&A Team to curate, understand, and visualize data for maximum impact. The Director of Finance will demonstrate strong communication skills to elevate granularity into messaging that underscores the “so what?” appropriate for effective decision-making. With the 30,000-foot view, the Director of Finance will identify areas for opportunities for value-add analysis and cultivate a proactive and forward-looking mindset for financial analysis across the team and with business partners. This position will:

• Own and contribute to financial planning for annual operating and capital budgets, long-term (3 to 5 year) forecasts, and periodic rolling forecasts/outlooks
• Leverage data and trends to prepare various what-if scenarios based on key drivers and financial levers for ACR’s diverse programmatic and operational areas
• Lead financial reporting & analysis; implement processes to assess reasonableness of variance explanations and provide assurance of quality control
• Identify and/or perform ad hoc analysis and financial modeling to bring value-added insights to program leaders and decision-makers
• Develop financial presentations (PowerPoint) for various audiences (ACR Board, Executive Team, and Business Partners)
• Create data visualizations & dashboards, including defining KPIs and metrics to provide insight and/or serve as leading indicators of performance
• Identify opportunities to streamline, simplify, and automate FP&A deliverables including assessing deliverables for value and impact & making recommendations to maximize value to key stakeholders
• Directly supervise a team of 4 high-performing analysts and direct/manage the full financial team which includes both direct reports and a team of 3 dotted-line financial analyst key contributors

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in finance or related business field; PMP and/or CMA certifications preferred
• 12 years of hands-on experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting with increasing responsibility
• 7 years of management or supervisory experience with proven success in managing and coaching/mentoring high-performing financial teams
• Strong critical-thinking and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative team-spirit: willingness to roll-up your sleeves, no matter how big or small the task, to meet the goals of the team
• Expert Excel required: Advanced proficiency in excel and experience creating and owning complex models
• Expert PowerPoint required: Proven ability to develop presentations using data visualization to tell the financial story for the intended audience
• Experience with SQL, Tableau Data Visualization, AWS Data Warehouse preferred
• Experience with project management software preferred
• Familiarity with ERPs, budgeting/reporting tools, AMS/CMS, and HRIS systems. ACR’s current suite includes: MS Dynamics GP, Planful, SalesForce/Nimble, and UKG.
