American Fence Company is one of the largest and most diversified fence contractors, resellers and manufacturers of fencing in the United States. With thirteen bricks and mortar locations, seven divisions, and multiple revenue streams, we utilize a wide range of systems and processes. All of this rolls into one common shared process that drives our operations. All of our one hundred plus sales, estimating, supervisory, project management and support staff flow in and out of this process.
Over the last several years, we have invested a great deal of time and energy into creating this shared process and integrating it into our CRM process. We are looking for that individual who appreciates processes, systems and continuous improvement who will support our operations in the education, learning and application of this process. All awhile supporting the further growth and improvement of our process and systems.
The position requires an aggressive spirit toward creating and implementing best practices in several operations. Strong leadership is necessary in working with a large and diverse sales team. Over the top aptitude in learning the industry and providing guidance. This position also requires an exceedingly advanced understanding of Excel and databases.

In this position, you will:
- Work collaboratively and simultaneously with branch personnel and corporate leadership in further developing processes and procedures.
- Plan and conduct weekly branch inspections of operations, personnel performance, facilities and equipment.
- Complete operations evaluations and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Make recommendations for organization, efficiencies, process improvement, and cost savings in all areas of operations, including but not limited to personnel management, inventory management and field installation.
- Collaborate with the regional operations management team and the executive leadership team to achieve company goals
- Develop and maintain a culture and environment of continuous change and improvement by incorporating various Lean strategies throughout the manufacturing organization.
We’re looking for candidates that have:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (will consider additional management experience in lieu of)
- Strong computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Management experience with people leaders as well as hourly production associates required.
- Experience dealing with customer inquiries, complaints and presentations.
- Proven record of implementing and operating within data driven management systems.
- Knowledge of both lean manufacturing and world class manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge/application of Six Sigma & continuous improvement
- Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
