JOB DESCRIPTION:
Irrigation Technician
- Always check for daily work assignments with Supervisor.
- Hand water dry spots.
- Repair defective sprinklers.
- Clean around sprinkler heads, valve boxes, and drain basins to make sure grass does not encroach and cause damage.
- Repairs all leaks caused by damaged pipes, valves, or irrigation heads.
- Perform other tasks as described by management.
- Must be able to perform all job activities of Maintenance I, and Equipment Operator.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are returned to their designated areas.
- Checks out with supervisor before leaving scheduled or unscheduled shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by supervisors/managers.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Must be able to speak and understand English. Work weekends and holidays. Must be available to work overtime and be on-call 24 hours. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop or bend for duration of shift [at least eight (8) hours].
PREFERRED SKILLS
One year experience with golf course irrigation or one year experience in landscaping irrigation.
