How your role fits into Boldt:
As an Architect for the Boldt Company, you will provide leadership and full-range architectural design expertise to be responsible for design and design/build projects from beginning to end. This role will collaborate with a variety of external clients and internal teams to bring their projects to life. Our architects ensure the successful completion of study documents, design development and construction documents while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and consistency with client desires and needs
Required Skills
What you get to do:
- Serve as Architect on our projects as required. Produce architectural project design and development of related concepts, drawings and specification documents using Revit and other design and rendering software.
- Ensure architectural project designs align with all applicable industry codes and standards, accepted industry practices and company standards.
- Provide technical support for our construction efforts including interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, etc.
- Assist in development of our proposals, pricing and presentations for design work.
- Manage and be responsible for development of all required study documents, designs, construction drawings, specifications, documentation and contract administration on our design and design/build projects.
- Collaborate with our customers, clients, owners and construction teams from inception to completion of project.
- Perform necessary design analysis and calculations for compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulations to meet the established criteria for specific projects.
- Coordinate design drawing needs not only for architectural, but also with mechanical, electrical, and civil/structural engineering teams for overall project consistency.
- Provide project management including oversight of budget and schedule on assigned projects.

- Participate in the development and maintenance of our architectural standards for specifications, drawing format, administrative procedures, and quality control measures.
Required Experience
What we expect from you:
- Architectural degree (B.Arch; B.S.Arch; M.Arch) from an accredited 4 year university.
- AIA Licensed Architect (or on the path to licensure)
- Three to seven years of related design experience including knowledge of construction technology, design, applicable codes, regulations, standards, and other applicable expertise is required.
- Experience managing projects at all phases of design and construction, coordinating engineering, dealing with permitting, and communicating and working with contractors and clients.
- Must be knowledgeable with computer aided drawing software including Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Bluebeam Revu, and other related systems.
- Must have business and financial management knowledge and be proficient with software programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to follow internal processes and procedures to ensure financial accuracy. Maintains consistent standards that minimize risk to project and company profits.
- LEED experience and rendering ability is helpful.
Physical requirements and working conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position for up to eight hours. The employee occasionally is required to move to access people or workspaces. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. The ability to optimally communicate is required. The employee may occasionally move up to 15 pounds.
The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work inside an office environment. The environment for which this position functions may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
