The Bridges Academy in West Islip, New York seeks a Spanish Teacher with demonstrable classroom experience for the 2024-2025 school year. A good candidate will have a desire to grow in an innovative professional learning community, is enthusiastic about teaching and learning, and is current with best practices.
Candidates must demonstrate a strong background in foreign language within a K-8 program. Technology integration and ability to teach virtually as needed a must. Strong classroom management skills, solid communication, enthusiasm and a growth mindset are essential.
Qualifications: all applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language or a related field of study as well as New York State certification. A Master’s degree is preferred. Additionally, s/he should be able to understand and support Bridges’s vision, mission and values, understanding the unique nature of a small independent school environment.
