Position Summary
The Analyst will be part of Carlyle’s European Real Estate (“CER”) Fund Management team. This position is dedicated to working on various technology/process enhancements, deal support, accounting, tax, fundraising and other investor service-related functions primarily on the European Real Estate Funds. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Support technology development and process innovation to enhance Fund reporting, analysis and timeliness of deliverables as the European Real Estate platform continues to expand
- Coordinate and assist with the quarterly portfolio review presentations, IAC and fundraising materials

Assist with Investor Relations support:
- Ensure all LP requests are answered promptly and accurately
- Assist with the fundraising process including; drafting pitch books and reviewing and drafting due diligence questionnaires

Assist with the valuation process:
- Assisting with summary investment schedules
- Reviewing templates to ensure all valuation templates are in compliance with Carlyle policy, ensure, valuation changes are properly explained and documented
- Support the team in reviewing financial valuations and exit forecasts for fund portfolio companies prepared by investment level team
- Respond to quarterly valuation review and annual valuation audit queries
- Coordinate the third party valuation review process with both the FM and deal teams
- Assist with ad hoc requests for Fund performance metrics

Quarterly financial reporting:
- Review Financial statements and capital account statements prepared by Partnership Accounting
- Coordinate drafting of quarterly investor updates (fact packs and quarterly updates/bluebooks)
- Build working relationships with various internal stakeholders including; Partnership Accounting, Investor Relations, Deal Team, Technology and Luxembourg office

Other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned, including:
- Collection and an of miscellaneous performance metrics
- Support Investment Team heads in preparation of presentations for investor meetings
- Support Fund CFO and Segment CFOs by reviewing and preparing executive summaries of Investment Committee Memorandums, Portfolio Company operational updates and other financial analysis and research as assigned
- Specific projects as assigned

Education & Certificates
- Masters or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance degree preferred. An excellent academic record required
- Minimum 5 year of prior experience in a consulting, project management or financial role, preferable to have prior fund experience
- Prior experience in project managing change and implementing technology/process enhancements
- Strong accounting or financial background with the capability and desire to learn the accounting and financial principles related to private equity and the ability to apply the principles to the tasks at hand
- Self-starter and pro-active attitude with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to follow through on concurrent tasks under pressure
- Motivated to drive change with a future focused mindset
- Excellent interpersonal abilities. Comfortable interacting and developing strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to apply abstract financial and accounting theory to real world investment scenarios. Attention to detail a must
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong presentation skills
- High integrity and must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary matters
