Position Summary: The Annual Fund/Database Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the school’s long term financial health by planning and implementing a comprehensive annual giving program. This position reports to the Director of Finance and relishes the effective use of technology to advance a mission. Responsibilities include managing direct mail campaigns, direct solicitation and acknowledgement of annual fund gifts, and parent and alumni relations.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage and coordinate Annual Fund timelines, strategies for giving and participation campaigns, including mail, phone and personal solicitations as well as creating acknowledgments and stewardship materials.
Write Annual Fund marketing materials including letters and pledge reminders
Professionally oversee precise and complete database entry and records
Provide ongoing analysis of Annual Fund progress and prepare reports.
Works with the Family Association and helps with planning community events.
Leads alumni relations
Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of professional experience in development, annual fund or event fundraising; familiarity with educational or not-for-profit institutions a plus
Proficiency with donor management software
Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Office Suites and social media platforms
Demonstrated excellence in organization, detailed planning, problem-solving, decision making, communication, project management, and effective management of resources
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to create personal relationships and to communicate effectively, delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse variety of stakeholders
Strong verbal and written communications skills including editing and proofreading
Demonstrated donor relations best practices, including policies and processes, and commitment to confidentiality and ethical behavior
Creative and entrepreneurial spirit; as well as critical thinking and analytical skills
Experienced in team orientation and ability to collaborate across departments
Ability to work independently and maintain deadlines
