We are currently looking for a Full Time Float RN to join our Inpatient Staffing team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.
Summary:
Plans and provides comprehensive patient care by utilizing and documenting the nursing process: including teaching patients and their families, and discharge planning.

- Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
- Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Administers CPR as needed according to Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) and NIHSS Credentialing
- Calculates and safely administers all prescribed medications according to nursing standards and facility policy and protocols
- Is a strong advocate and active participant in patient and patient family education i.e., diagnosis, medications and discharge instructions
- Protects the patient’s rights, dignity, and privacy
- Assessment of patients experiencing urgent, emergent, or non-emergent conditions
- Assesses physical needs of all ages of patients
- Assesses bio-psychosocial needs of all ages of patients
- Assesses health education needs of all ages of patients
- Provides age and culturally appropriate, holistic patient care based upon facility mission statements and as outlined in policies and procedures
- Implement interventions appropriate to the age-specific needs of the patient
- Assists provider with diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, exams, specimen collection and other care as directed
- Assists with preparing orders for labs, tests, and medications per provider’s direction
- Develops and maintains care planning for patients and reviews the care plan for assigned patients
- May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained
