The Children’s Place is Kansas City’s specialized trauma treatment agency, providing trauma-responsive care for children and families. We are seeking energetic, compassionate, and motivated individuals to assist teachers in our therapeutic early education classrooms during the summer.
- Work directly with children aged 12 months to 5 years in a classroom of eight children.
- Assist the Lead Teacher(s) in executing lesson plans and educational activities, including teaching small groups of children.
- Assist with meal and snack time.
- Care for children needing help with self-sufficiency, health, and hygiene-related tasks.
- Play with and provide supervision of children on the playground.
- Maintain a clean learning environment and report any safety-related concerns to management.
- Interact and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and other staff to promote a positive educational and healing experience for children.
- Conduct other functions as needed or as directed.
Employment Duration: June 2024 – August 2024
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Employment Category: Hourly ( Holiday pay for the hours you would normally work).
Rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.
