The Loss Control Field Supervisor supports and leads a field team of loss control associates assigned to our independent agency partners, helping them write and retain commercial insurance clients. Responsibilities are driven around management and leadership to attainment of Department and Corporate Goals.
Be ready to
- provide direct management and leadership through joint field travel, and performance reviews for field loss control
- attend field territory sales meetings
- coach and mentor field associates from entry level to senior level
- lead field associates to attainment of department and corporate goals
- facilitate customer service approach in field operations
- facilitate technical competency development in conjunction with technical support staff
- facilitate new associate orientation for all aspects of the field position
- develop and maintain positive relationships with our local independent agency partners and their clients
- develop and maintain productive relationships with other departments
- willing to travel to meet job demands (travel requirements vary based on supported territories but it is a significant part of the job)
Be equipped with:
- prefer 10 years of multi-line loss control experience in the field role or management
- a passionate commitment to our goals and making a difference to the people they support and serve
- proven track record of exceeding personal and job performance goals
- desire to expand responsibility outside one’s self
- undergraduate degree in engineering or applicable science or related experience and training. Advance degree is preferred.
- professional designations such as CSP, CFPS, CIH, OHST, CPCU, ARM or CRM
- pursued continuing education opportunities regularly
- demonstrated initiative to develop new or enhanced methods for loss controls
- knowledge of corresponding business lines, policy coverages, regulations and consensus standards
- ability to work independently to accomplish initiatives
- interpersonal, consultative, and organizational skills
- strong coaching skills
- strong customer service skills to those they manage and external/internal customers
- proficiencies in Microsoft Office tools and related software
You’ve earned:
- a bachelor’s degree. The undergraduate degree is in engineering or related science, or a combination of undergraduate degree and related experience and training. Advance degree is preferred.
- professional designations such as PE, CSP, CFPS, CIH, OHST, CHST, CPCU, ARM or CRM
