The chosen candidate will assist the Engineering Department with projects encompassing a wide range of municipal areas and will require both office and field work. The candidate will play an active role in supporting the city government in areas such as: comprehensive planning; data mining and interpretation; economic development; mapping and presentation support; project management, including city construction projects; construction/building plan reviews; zoning; stormwater management; street paving; and responses to city resident inquiries and complaints.
In addition, utilizing Environmental Systems Research Institute’s (ESRI) ArcGIS management platform, the chosen candidate will be expected to assemble existing data and develop strategies for updating and maintaining ongoing data collection and mapping efforts for multiple departments as well as manage users, licenses, applications, data agreements, and data visibility through the ArcGIS Online Portal.
This full-time position will report directly to the Engineering Services/Stormwater Director and will often work closely with the City Manager. The position will require the interaction and coordination of multiple municipal departments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 40 hours per week. This position could require longer hours outside the scheduled workday.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Rate of Pay
Salary commensurate with experience.
