What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Management Coordinator/Director of Luling Fire Department position at The City of Luling?
The City of Luling is accepting applications for the position of City Emergency Management Coordinator/Director of Luling Fire Department. Some of the responsibilities include but not limited to are Coordinates and supervises fire department personnel under the direct supervision of the City Manager and or Fire Chief. Coordinates and supervises emergency management and homeland security operations during natural or man-made emergencies and disasters, pandemics and acts of terrorism. Manages the development and maintenance of the integrated plans for emergency preparedness programs; coordinates and conducts training and training exercises to develop coordinated responses to disasters and civil emergencies. Be responsible to the City Manager and or Fire Chief to coordinate services and supervise staff of the City of Luling Fire Department.
Requirement included: Five years of responsible emergency management and/or disaster response experience desired. A Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), or ability to obtain within 3 years is preferred. Meet Texas Commission of Fire Protection Head of Department qualifications.
