The Landscape Manager will work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent on day-to-day operations of all club grounds.
Job Duties
- Take ownership of Club and Wellness grounds and landscape areas on the course
- Daily inspections of all areas of responsibility
- Work alongside and support fellow landscape team members.
- Daily coverage of club grounds (weekends and holidays included)
- Design, order, site prep, install and continued maintenance of plant materials.
- Weed management in beds, pavers, curbs, etc.
- Mow grass – push and ride
- Irrigation auditing and ability to make repairs and adjustments.
- Fertilizer and plant protectant applications (Plant material)
- Propper pruning schedule and execution.
- Mulch installation and management
- Daily detail blowing of patios, parking lots, etc.
- Develop and efficient utilization of annual budget for the Landscaping department.
- Future improvement project planning and budgeting

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
- Higher Education related to position preferred.
- Two to three years related landscape management experience.
- Must maintain valid driver’s license/eligible to be covered under company fleet policy.
- Knowledge of Landscaping to include understanding of plants, trees, grasses, and the natural landscape.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and various other computer programs.
- Ability to obtain NC pesticides applicator license within 6 months of hire.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift 65lbs and able to walk an average of three miles per day in a variety of terrains.
- Able to operate a variety of landscaping equipment.
- Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of OSHA standards and other environmental safety standards, as applied to chemicals and compounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate is occasionally required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the associate will frequently be asked to use hands and arms to reach, carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and peripheral vision.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may experience temperature and weather fluctuations, and moderate to high noise levels.
- The ability to work under varying and extreme weather conditions.
