Your role at Clorox:
The Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance of all aspects of sanitation relative to the Quality System at the Burt’s Bees manufacturing site.This role supports all sanitation activities by using knowledge, principles and practices to facilitate sound sanitation methods. The role requires the ability to proficiently operate sanitation monitoring equipment, collect and analyze cleaning data, operate sanitation room cleaning equipment, train employees on good sanitation practices, and perform audits and inspections as they relate to sanitation.
The Quality Specialist will routinely interface and communicate with all levels of the plant workforce in person, virtually and via written communication
In this role, you will:
- Create and maintain the internal cGMP Audit Program and provide action items for follow-up to correct issues that are identified. cGMP audits conducted monthly
- Perform clean equipment inspections and collect data. Investigate and correct any on out of compliance cleaning items found on inspections.
- Perform micro and ATP swabbing to support the Environmental Monitoring Program.
- Work as a liaison between Maintenance and Sanitation to perform period sanitation on the production lines.
- Support Sanitation Manager with creating and updating Sanitation Job Aids, perform chemical inventory and ordering of sanitation supplies, support dry fog activities, support Sanitation personnel with equipment, tools and training,
- Audit Master Sanitation and daily cleaning logs of cleaning contractors to verify all items are cleaned according to schedule
- Provide cGMP and Sanitation training as needed
- Facilitate and/ or support projects as assigned such as performing Cleaning Qualifications/ Cleaning Verifications for new equipment and/ or new products, and write technical reports for each
- Perform other duties as assigned
What we look for:
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and procedures in a cosmetics manufacturing plant.
- Basic knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements.
- Highly flexible and adaptable. Work independently or in a team in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook preferred.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Strong problems solving and troubleshooting skills, issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelors degree or a combination of education/industry experience indicating an ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position
