Associate Pastor at The Collective Church
Summary:
The Associate Pastor will be called by God and gifted with an administrative anointing to serve the church as part of the Pastoral Team to help further the vision of the church by ensuring its operational readiness through performing duties in administration, finance, human resources, and facilities management to position the church for the greatest kingdom impact possible.
Primary Focus: Pastoral Team, Finance, Facility, Procedures, Human Resources
Primary Job Functions:
- As a member of the Pastoral Team, the Associate Pastor will participate in tending to the pastoral needs of the congregation i.e., Connect Card prayer requests, visitor contacts, hospital visits, etc.
- Preaching
- Weddings/Funerals/Baptisms when needed
- Marriage/Family mediation
- Collaborate with other pastors on maintaining emotional and spiritual connection with congregation
- Reaching out to congregants in need or not seen
- Collaborate with Pastoral Team to create metric for evaluating overall church health and maintain monthly tracking report
- Oversee church staff
- Have regular touchpoint meetings with each staff member to check in on their needs, encourage, and help track progress toward ministry goals
- Run efficient and beneficial weekly staff meetings and monthly staff equipping meetings
- Perform annual staff performance evaluations and oversee the goal setting for the upcoming year
- Lead the church’s budgeting and financial planning processes:
- Have oversight of budgets, cash flow, insurance, income and expenses
- Ensure each staff person has access to their ministry budget
- Oversees annual budget reviews with each staff person
- Work closely with bookkeeping contractor
- Preparing and maintaining the monthly budget reports and present to Pastoral Team and council
- Oversight of facility(s) and church property:
- Oversee the look and feel of the facilities to ensure there is alignment with the vision of the church
- Responsible for staff technology, church wifi and software (not related to Audio/Visual) and facility technology
- Oversee renovations on current property and new building projects
- Establishing a long-term plan for upkeep on property
- Ensure all inspections (fire, occupancy, emergency light, etc) are passed and building is up-to-date on all requirements
- Collaborate with Lead Pastor on the hiring process, reviewing, and terminating staff
- Implement and uphold vacation/sick policies
- Keep an accurate record of employment files for the church in a way that ensures the church complies with all state and federal employment laws
- Administrate staff benefits and payroll
- Maintain employee handbook
- Ensure emergency policies are kept up to date
- Ensure procedures are being followed
- Develop and inform staff of policies and procedures as needed
- Oversee all communication that goes out from the church.
- Review weekly update and additional emails before they go out to the congregation.
Additional Job Functions: Occasional or as needed
- Help execute staff retreats and all church events
Qualifications: The Associate Pastor must meets the qualifications as outlined herein and contained within 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and Titus 1:5-9
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Have a theological position that is exegetically informed.
- Believe the Bible to be God-breathed and the foundational truth.
- Demonstrate a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Spend regular time in personal Bible study and prayer
- Display a passion to know, trust, and follow God
- Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in his life and ministry
- Be willing to equip others to use their spiritual gifts
- Live an exemplary life based on clear biblical principles
- Support and commit to TCC’s Articles and bylaws
- Understand and regularly practice tithe and offerings.
- Have previously served in Pastoral ministry.
- Have received a degree from a university, college, Bible college or ministry training institute, including coursework and training in scriptural foundations, Biblical interpretation and exposition and other aspects of ministry preparation.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000
Compensation is determined by the Council and Lead Pastor.
Status: Full-time position.
- Hours: You are being hired to complete all responsibilities stated above as well as other necessary responsibilities that may need your support. Your responsibilities are not limited to a set amount of weekly hours as much as the necessary time needed to accomplish them.
