Athletics - Broadcaster
Job Posting for Athletics - Broadcaster at The College of St. Scholastica
To serve as play-by-play announcers and/or commentators at athletic events for web casts. Broadcasters will be needed for men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball and softball. . Candidates should be well-spoken, and have a thorough understanding of the sport(s) they are broadcasting and also the technical aspect of doing a broadcast. Candidates must be willing to do paid training and be committed to assignments. Additional hours will be available to prepare for broadcasts as well as the set up/take down equipment. Previous sports broadcasting experience is preferred but not necessary. Candidates must be detail-oriented and willing to occasionally non-traditional hours, including nights/weekends.
Job Duties
- Play-by-play announcing and/or commentating at athletic events for web casts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a CSS student
- Federal Work Study eligibility preferred
- Be well-spoken
- Have a thorough understanding of the sport(s) they are broadcasting
- Have a thorough understanding of the technical aspect of doing a broadcast
- Willing to do paid training and be committed to assignments.
