Nestled in the quiet and safe community of Ormond Beach, FL the Esformes Hebrew Academy seeks a holistic and forward-thinking teacher, who will have an interest in progressive education and the whole child approach. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and prepare engaging lessons and strategies which support the school’s mission
- Plan and prepare instructional activities that contribute to the school climate
- Modify instructional activities/materials to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, needs
- Maintain a positive, organized, and safe learning environment
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with other professionals, students, parents and the community
- Collaborate with your teaching team
- Prepare all required reports and maintain all appropriate records
- Actively participate in school activities and programs
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Knowledge of learning styles and skills in using varied teaching methods to address individual student learning styles
- Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, etc.
- Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators, and others
