The Cottages of Renton is currently recruiting for a Business Office Manager.

The Cottages of Renton is an assisted living community specializing in Demetia and Memory Care.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and managing the overall financial, accounting and administrative activities in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as directed by the Executive Director. Works with department managers to measure monthly financial accountability for controllable expenses, uses Company’s accounting software system to manage payables, receivables, billing and payroll functions. Maintains Resident legal records and required employee files and ensures that pre-employment screenings and checks are completed prior to new employees reporting to work. Supports overall operations of community including resident and employee relations.

Duties

Responsible for localized accounting functions for the community, including: resident billing, coding and completing forms necessary for the generation of accounts payable and assignments of all expenses to the proper general ledger. Review accounts receivable and participate in the collection efforts for the community as directed by Executive Director. Generate and assure accuracy of reports and records, to include daily census. Review accounting system weekly to ensure that marketing, care and business office information match each other. Responsible for ensuring that resident changes in level of care are appropriately adjusted in the accounting system and billed within the same time period in which these changes occurred. Participates with Executive Director as directed in monthly budget variance conference and reports.

Qualifications

1. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. At least two years’ experience in bookkeeping or office management.

3. Computer/technology proficient with high levels of comfort learning and managing new systems/processes.

4. Highly comfortable interacting with multiple and diverse groups of people, excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
