Who we are looking for:
The Crest is hiring experienced individuals to join our team as servers or bartenders. We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in the hospitality industry. This person will have some experience in an upscale casual dining setting and should be familiar with craft beer and cocktails. This person should also have an interest in Appalachian food and a desire to learn more about the region and what drives the culture in that part of the world.
FOH Staff Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service as well as showcasing food and beverage knowledge. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
As a member of our team, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer experience and restaurant growth. Along with being an ambassador to our cuisine, a member of our team is expected to also execute the following:
- Prepare dining room for guests
- Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
- Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
- Build a report with guests through genuine interactions and industry leading hospitality
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Properly open and pour wine at the table side
*Upscale casual restaurant experience is preferred for this position. Fine dining experience is a plus.
