The Dam Restaurant is a new lakeside restaurant that offers our guests an unforgettable dining experience with a serene view of beautiful Center Hill Lake, located in Edgar Evins Marina.
We are looking for ENTHUSIASTIC, CREATIVE and experienced chefs to join our team and help us give our guests the greatest unforgettable dining experience that they deserve! We embrace culinary integrity and innovation to craft invigorating, nourishing, and memorable meals. Being a part of our team is about having fun and making new friends, all while earning some extra cash!
The Chef's role is to support our commitment of exceeding our guest's expectations and is essential to the success of The Dam Restaurant. Our chefs are responsible for using their culinary expertise to create appetizing dishes for our guests to enjoy. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a LOVE FOR COOKING and the ability to work well under pressure. Each chef's primary objective is to make sure our guests leave full and happy every time.

Chef Responsibilities
- Set up kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment
- Ensure proper preparation of all food to be served
- Ensure all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
- Create appealing plate presentation
- Meet company standards of quality, safety, cleanliness and hospitality
- Monitor food stock and coordinate with management to place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Interact with co-workers in a friendly manner
- Help fellow team members when necessary
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Chef Requirements
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Previous culinary experience is preferred
- Familiar with health and safety rules and regulations
- Excellent time management skills
- Skills in cooking and prepping
- Passionate about food
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift, load and carry up to 40 pounds
- Reliable and hardworking
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
