About Dimock: The Dimock Center is a Federally-Qualified Health Center in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston serving a predominately African-American and Latinx patient population. Our innovative Integrated Behavioral Health program is hiring a full-time clinician in its Adult Medicine Clinic. Our Integrated Behavioral Health service is a central part of how we approach primary care provision.
The individual applying should be a licensed clinical social worker (LICSW) or licensed mental health clinician (LMHC). An ideal candidate would be culturally competent and able to adapt therapeutic interventions to an ethnically, linguistically and racially diverse patient population. Spanish language fluency is required. Previous experience in an integrated medical/behavioral health treatment setting is preferred.
As an integrated member of the OB-GYN clinic, the clinician will work with a diverse team of OB-GYN providers (NPs and MDs), psychiatrists, nurses and community health workers to provide high-quality, comprehensive care for patients experiencing peri-partum Behavioral Health conditions and other Behavioral Health concerns identified on screening in the OB-GYN clinic setting, including by:
- Providing Warm Handoffs for in-the-moment connection to Behavioral Health services to reduce stigma and improve uptake into needed care
- Providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and brief behavioral health interventions for patients within the OB-GYN setting
- Providing longitudinal individual therapy to a panel of patients
- Coordinating with members of the patients care team as needed (Primary Care, Psychiatry, Medication Assisted Therapy (Suboxone) Team, e.g.)
- Providing case management, including working with our team of resource specialists
- Documenting clinical work and communications in integrated electronic medical record, including regular treatment planning
- Participating in trainings, clinical supervision, and quality improvement activities
- This position is an on-site position
