Job Title: Dishwasher
- Job Start Date: January 15th, 2025
- Reporting To: General Manager
- Average Weekly Hours: 20-40 hours per week
- Schedule: Weekdays only (Monday-Friday) or a combination of Weekdays and Weekends
- Available Hours: 1st Shift: 8am-12pm; Second Shift: 12pm-4pm
Purpose of Position
The Dishwasher is responsible for washing all items used in the baking operation of The Eat Shop. They utilize The Eat Shop's commercial dish machine and ensure all equipment and dishes are properly washed and sanitized.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Washes all bakery wares effectively loading the dishwasher to maximize usage.
- Ensures all items are properly cleaned as they come out of dishwasher.
- Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
- Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
- Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to understand and meet Department of Health standards for health, safety, and excellence.
- Ability to remain alert and focused in an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
- Ability to work effectively with bakery staff.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work days (weekends, and/or holidays only as needed during busy seasons)
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.
- Must frequently immerse hands in water.
- Must be able to work in a hot and damp environment.
Language Skills
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Must be able to communicate to coworkers and customers in a clear, concise and professional manner
