THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Eco Plumbers is seeking a Financial Controller. We are looking for an Individual to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. You will provide financial insights and projections to the finance team and will provide reliable data and solutions to be used in decision making and planning for the company.

RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Advanced financial modeling using VBA, Macros, Query functions to develop ad hoc and automated reporting.
  • Advanced experience in analyzing income statements and understanding profitability levers.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements, providing thoughtful analysis, identifying action items, and effectively framing decisions that need to be made
  • Accounts Payable, Receivable and Payroll process knowledge.
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

THE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics
  • Strong leadership/ management skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Good technical & numeracy skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to organize members of the department
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Ability to delegate where necessary
  • Sage Intacct experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
