Alternative Assets Associate
Overview:
The Alternative Assets Associate will report to Alternative Assets Department Manager. The candidate is mainly tasked with the efficient and accurate execution of alternative assets purchase and liquidation transactions by providing exceptional customer service and supporting all operational and sale activities as necessary. Alternative Assets Department is a high volume transactional department and the ideal candidate will interact regularly with clients as well as sales and other operational teams.

Alternative Assets is one of the busiest departments at Entrust, and it’s a close-knit group. There are autonomy and flexibility to the role; if you discover a better way to do something, we want to empower you to make the change! The workflow can be fast-paced with high-volumes – a successful team member will have the ability to move files forward without letting details fall through the cracks.
Job Duties:
- Review and Process Alternative Assets (LLCs, Private Placements, Promissory notes, Crowdfunding) buy, sell and exchange transactions for clients and/or B2B Partners.
- Initiate transactions within clients’ accounts via trust accounting software.
- Handle incoming calls from Entrust clients, internal departments or vendors regarding transactions.
- Research client issues and transactions and provide timely updates and resolution as needed.
- Ensure proper record keeping and adherence to strict company recordkeeping standards for auditing purposes.
- Comply with all laws and regulations, including Prohibited Transactions, Anti-Money Laundering and Privacy Policies and Procedures.
- Manage the team inbox and assign tasks to other members of the team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and resolve issues with minimal supervision
- Aptitude for data input with a high level of attention to details
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two years of financial and/or liquidation experience preferred
- Individual Retirement Account knowledge a plus
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service aptitude
- Detailed oriented
- Team player, committed to working in a quality environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and PowerPoint
