A Long Island consumer products company is currently seeking a new ESG Analyst will for a promising Part-time and Remote opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Part-time ESG Analyst (Remote) will be responsible for streamlining the data collection process for the greenhouse gas emissions inventory, project managing the company's ESG metrics (SASB, Water/Waste/Product Inventory) to track progress against ESG goals.
Responsibilities:
- Support the ESG Senior Manager in developing a consistent format for greenhouse gas emissions data collection
- Support to streamline the annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory
- Track and document the environmental data collection process
- Conduct accuracy and quality checks of the data received and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain SASB and ESG metrics data collection
- Expand the water, waste (food waste & solid waste) data template
- Build a simplified data collection template for each function
- Automate, project manage, and visualize ESG metrics to track progress towards goals for Senior Leadership team
- Conduct topical research to inform future ESG goals
- Support the Senior Manager, ESG in incorporating new ESG metrics into short and long-term planning
- Support the ESG team in responding with relevant ESG data and disclosures to ESG ratings agencies including MSCI ESG, ISS E&S, Sustainalytics, Just Capital, B-Corp Impact Assessment
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2 years of ESG, Sustainability, Business, and/or Consulting experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with Data Analytics
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
