Job Posting for Event Manager at THE FIRM EVENT DESIGN
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Event Production Manager position is a full-time, salaried position responsible for the day-to-day production needs of THE FIRM EVENT DESIGN. The ideal candidate will have great project management skills, people skills, active listening and communication skills, and the ability to function in a high pressure and fast paced environment. This person will also manage budgets to ensure financial profitability and bring value to our clients. They possess the ability to juggle a variety of tasks and collaborate with multiple teams to successfully execute events. This role will report directly to the company’s CMO.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all details of events and production
Creating comprehensive timelines, proposals, and decks for potential projects
Coordinating with vendors both in the preliminary planning stages as well as on site
Help define event concepts and decks for client presentations
Manage and negotiate vendors and vendor contracts
Managing budgets for upcoming proposals/projects
Manage client billing and follow-up reports for each event
Work on multiple events simultaneously
Help manage and archive event photos for social media and the company’s website
Travel for site visits and out-of-town events
Participate in client outreach activity & new business proposals
Help promote and share events and company news on social media
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5 years of professional experience in events/production industry
Client focus with attention to detail, flexibility and accountability for results
Extraordinary organizational skills, self-motivation and intuition
Thrive in a fast paced, agency environment
Basic knowledge of audio, lighting, video and rigging systems
Deadline oriented and creative problem solver
Outstanding organizational and project management skills
Effective communicator and presenter
Ability to positively interact, influence and motivate clients, the internal team, and vendors
Ability to effectively manage tasks across multiple projects/various clients at the same time
Budgeting and negotiation skills
Flexibility with hours and comfort with travel
A team player with strong people skills
Understanding of permitting standards a plus
Ability to have fun on the job while maintaining professionalism
Excellent computer skills on Microsoft Office and social media sites

Some travel required for out of town jobs and site visits
