JOB SUMMARY:
The General Manager plays a vital role in creating an environment where the values, culture, and operating standards of The Flame Broiler, Inc. can thrive. Competencies of the Successful General Manager:
- Responsible for achievingcompanysales/revenue goals and operates shifts to ensure goals can be reached.
- Reportsstore revenueto supervisors and home office support teamweekly basis or as needed.
- Responsible for outbound marketing and increasing sales through community relationships, business to business sales, etc.
- Manages and/or oversees the management of inventory and conducts monthly inventory counts.
- Oversees and/or ensures cash handling procedures are properly performed.
- Responsible for thesafety andsecurity ofrestaurantfacility during shifts.
- Communicates necessary repairs of equipment, damaged equipment, and items in need of replacement.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability to performas well ascommunicatestheFlame BroilerShift Management 9 Touch Point Module.
- Ensures the restaurant meetsthe standards ofall areas of the 4 Pillars of Successoperational evaluation.
- Achieved satisfactory certification in and demonstrated ability to perform all positions within the restaurant (i.e., cashier, prep, cook).
- Responsible forthecommunication, implementation,and executionof sales initiativesand promotions. Follows up and reports on the progress and success ofinitiatives and promotions.
- Maintains restaurant’s profitability through effective operations, minimizing wastes, controlling expenses as well as efficient scheduling and staffing.
- Has the ability to projectfinancial goals and monitors progress as well as makes necessary decisions to meetgoals.
- Possesses the ability toidentify and resolveoperational inefficiencies and troubleshoot problems in a timely manner.
- Communicates and/or ensuresthe communication ofcompany policiesand standards to supervised team members.
- Communicates changes or occurrences during shift to DM and/or incoming manager, (i.e., employee call outs, issues, success, goals, revenue goals, employee performance standards, etc.)
- Executes shifthandovercommunication to Assistant Coach and/or Shift Lead.
Qualifications
Successful General Manager:
- Provides overall leadership, management of procedures, direction of tasks,and performance coaching for all supervised team members.
- Evaluates and provides feedback on the performance of supervised team members. Ensures that all supervised team members are fully trained and competent to in their respective roles.
- Ensures that all teammembers are accountable forknowing and understandingcompany standards and policies.
- Upholds and enforces company standards and policiesthrough effective leadership.
- Ability to coachsupervisedteam members for performance improvement.
- Possesses the ability and skills to resolve conflicts patiently and professionally.
- Quickly handles and resolves guest complaints when necessary.
- Seeks to find solutions and causes of guest’s complaints when appropriate.
- Successfully completescompanyapproved Train-The-Trainer certification course.
- Trains and/or oversees the training ofnewlyhired and/or newly promoted team members.
- Certifies thetraining of newlyhiredand/or promoted team members. Follows up with trainees during shift review and evaluates progress ofteam membersin training.
- Follows companyguidelines concerningrecommendationsofteam members forpromotionsand wage increases.
- Responsible forthe creation, adjustments,anddistribution ofweekly schedules.
- Maintains employee attendanceand punctualityrecords andsends reportsto supervisor.
- Ensures cash handling procedures are adhered to and enforced.
- Communicates and ensures restaurant team members abide by and adheres to company injury illnessprevention safety program.
- Under the guidance of direct supervisor and People Operations, administers progressive discipline policy.
STARTING HOURLY RATE: $20.00 - $23.00 Benefits
