The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Aircraft Structural Mechanicfor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in NAS Whidbey Island, WA. Details for the position are as follows:
Hourly rate on W2: $38.88/hr.
Job Title: Aircraft Structural Mechanic
Location: NAS Whidbey Island, WA
Duration: 6 months contract - possible FTE opportunity.
1st Shift: 6am – 2:30pm.
INTERIM/ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START.
This position requires an active US Current Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5 years experience as a Structures mechanic/technician making repairs or new build during O-Level or Depot maintenance. MRO experience is a plus.
- 5 years' experience with U.S. Navy or USMC aviation logistics, maintenance and acquisition practices
- Experience with 4790.2 Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP)
- 5 years' experience maintaining F/A-18E/F, EA-18G Aircraft Logs, and Records Books IAW 4790.2
- 5 years' experience with COMNAVAIRINST 4790.2 Series quality assurance programs such as FOD and Tool Control
- Capable of traveling on an as needed basis (up to 25% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 7 years of experience with F/A-18 QAS, Full Systems QAR, CDQAR or CDI
- Experience with MPA or CNAL audits
- Experience with RCCA, CARs, PQDRs, EIs, Maintenance Mishap Incident Investigations
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists in review of proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements to prepare quality assurance plans and tests for hardware and software products, processes and services.
- Maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures.
- Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems.
- Provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.
- Supports quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers' ability to meet program quality requirements.
- Assists with hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements.
- Documents audit results in standard formats.
- Compiles data and provides recommendations for material review disposition.
- Works under general supervision.
Travel: Up to 25% domestic travel possible
