What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at The Gatesworth?
The Gatesworth, a luxury senior living community is looking for the immediate placement of a kind, and efficient housekeeper. The Housekeeper at The Gatesworth is responsible for the daily cleaning of apartments, common areas and other assigned areas, and for helping to maintain a safe and secure community for our residents. The Housekeeper also represents The Gatesworth to the residents, their guests, families and the community. Each employee makes a significant contribution to our success in fulfilling our mission to safely provide the highest quality services, programs and facilities possible to enhance the quality of life for each resident, each and every day.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities described below are representative, but not necessarily all-inclusive, of the position:
- Cleans apartments, bathrooms, kitchens and common areas.
- Dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, wipes, scrubs and polishes throughout the facility; cleans sinks, tubs, showers and toilets per prescribed sanitation standards.
- Observe waste disposal procedures.
- Dispense soap, paper, and other supplies, as needed, to apartments and common areas.
- Uses all equipment and chemicals in the correct manner to ensure maximum cleanliness and eliminate waste or damage. Uses, understands and follows Safety Data Sheets and creates and maintains a safe work environment.
- Follows policies and procedures as set by the Director of Housekeeping & Laundry and Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor in all areas of duties, as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Housekeeping Departmental Manual.
- Reports maintenance and safety items to Facilities Director, Director of Housekeeping and Laundry or Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor when observed, or to the MOD or receptionist if on the weekend.
- Assists with emergencies, spills, laundry and pet cleanup. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS IN REGARDS TO COVID-19:
1. You will wear a mask (Surgical and or KN95) that is provided for you during your entire shift for the day.
2. You will wear gloves that are provided for you during helping resident with tasks required for them.
3. You will wash your hands according to CDC recommendations.
4. You will adhere to any additional requirements that we put in place according to the CDC or local health department.
5. All employees are required to keep a distance of at least 6 ft from residents and other employees at all times while on Gatesworth property.
