Project Director
JOB DESCRIPTION
General Description:
The Project Director will oversee our Educational Talent Search West (ETS) pre-collegiate program. ETS is a federally funded pre-collegiate program that creates educational opportunities for low-income, first-generation students while providing access to higher education and assisting in the transition to college. Program services include group and individual counseling, academic advising and support, exposure to career and educational opportunities, and enrichment events. The target area for the program is four high school and four K8 schools in Weld County School District 6.
The Project Director for ETS West is responsible for assisting the Executive Director in program planning; supervising and monitoring of pre-collegiate program services at each of the targeted schools; evaluation and academic program development; and providing administrative and leadership support to Academic Advisors. The Project Director also supports the Executive Director in the implementation of the mission and goals of The Greeley Dream Team.

Responsibilities:
PROGRAM PLANNING
➢ Provide leadership in developing academic workshop curriculum, student events, trips, and summer program.
TRAINING & SUPERVISION
➢ Oversee and supervise pre-collegiate program Advisors’ daily and monthly work goals.
➢ Monitor Advisor progress towards meeting program objectives and grant goals.
➢ Providing training for professional development opportunities.
➢ Develop and conduct new-hire training.
RECRUITMENT
➢ Develop and coordinate the implementation of a recruitment plan for the program, which serves 500 participants. Verify program eligibility for each student applicant.
MONITOR & DOCUMENT
➢ Monitor the progress toward accomplishment of program objectives and oversee documentation of all aspects of project activity.
REPORTS, DATA & CORRESPONDENCE
➢ Compile data and write reports documenting program outcomes and accomplishments.
➢ Compose correspondence and reports using computer. Maintain Blumen database system.
MANAGEMENT & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
➢ Integral role in the development, management and evaluation of program objectives, administrative support and delegation of tasks.
ADVISING
➢ Advise and provide planned services that assure retention, promotion and graduation for a caseload of approximately 75 students
➢ Advise and assist high school seniors to become “college ready” and assure that they are prepared to enroll in a program of post-secondary education
➢ Assist students in completing college admission and financial aid applications and scholarships
➢ Academic and career counseling
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
➢ Develop and maintain relationships between the program and community, including schools and post-secondary institutions.

➢ Support annual events and activities as assigned.
➢ Attend staff meetings.
➢ Communicate with co-workers and supervisor.
➢ Adhere to policies and procedures
OTHER DUTIES
➢ Responsible for carrying out program goals.
➢ Participate in local, state, and national conferences as assigned.
➢ This position is highly visible to outreach where adherence to protocol, policies, and procedures is expected and of high priority.
➢ Professional appearance in dress and manor.
➢ Other activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
➢ Master’s Degree in education, social work, counseling, or related field, required and/or minimum of 5 years’ experience in administration of education and social programs.
➢ Prior experience in supervision of staff members
➢ Minimum Two years’ experience with TRiO programs or similar pre-colligate programs serving disadvantage youth, including experience in interacting with secondary and post-secondary institutions and students, and documenting and reporting participant progress and accomplishments.
➢ Prior experience in developing, organizing, implementing program goals and objectives.
➢ Excellent communication skills: oral and written.
➢ Demonstrated organizational, multi-tasking and detail-oriented skills, visionary, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
➢ Prior experience with Blumen database preferred.
➢ Prior experience in grant facilitation.
➢ Prior experience working with low-income and potential first-generation college students.
➢ Self-motivated
➢ High level of customer service skills.
➢ Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
➢ Some weekend and evening work will be required.
Compensation/Benefits:
➢ Compensation: $49,000-$57,000, pending qualifications
