What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Coach position at The Gym Station Austin?
Responsibilities: - Plan and deliver sports coaching sessions to children and young adults - Teach and demonstrate proper techniques and skills related to specific sports such as basketball, cheerleading, judo, karate, and swimming - Provide guidance and support to participants to improve their performance and achieve their goals - Develop training programs and lesson plans that are age-appropriate and engaging - Ensure the safety of all participants during coaching sessions - Manage behavior and maintain discipline among participants - Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play among participants - Monitor and evaluate the progress of participants and provide feedback for improvement Qualifications: - Previous experience in coaching or teaching sports to children or young adults - Knowledge and expertise in one or more sports such as basketball, cheerleading, judo, karate, swimming, etc. - Strong communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate participants - Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline in a positive manner - CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required - A background in physical education or related field is a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
