Our team is currently seeking an Associate Data Analyst to be in-person or hybrid out of our Worcester, MA location. This is a full time, exempt role. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Associate Data Analyst applies analytical skills to the development and enhancement of unique proprietary business tools that drive the optimization and consolidation of Agent partners business and are a strategic differentiator to the unique Hanover business model. This position is in the Hanover Technology Group, where the customers are our business partners. Assists in developing tools, processes and reporting analytics in support of business growth and ongoing business needs. Communicates with customers, external partners and internal departments frequently. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:· Perform analysis on data sourced from various sources, including database tables, flat files, and spreadsheets.· Work with Database administrators, architects, and application development leads on physical database attributes, including DDL and DML scripts.· Generate database change scripts to support changes required in test and production environments.· Help gather and analyze data and data requirements and develop simple logical and physical database designs and data models in support of enterprise information management.· Work with architects and business analysts to document mapping and business rules for moving data from source to target.· Gather and analyze data integration requirements and develop XML schemas in support of system integration.· Contribute to and create documentation related to architecture, design, planning, and overall management of Enterprise Data Integration.· Develop architecture as per data architecture standards and best practices, including ACORD, data naming standards, etc. Required Skills & Competencies and Experience: Skills:· Ability to manipulate and analyze data using Microsoft Excel· Ability to write SQL· Strong problem-solving skills· Strong Business and Financial acumen, has the aptitude to learn· Intellectually curious· Solid analytical and problem solving skills· Strong communication and interpersonal skills· Self-motivated and organized Experience:· Degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or a related field of study with a strong academic performance· 0-3 years of related analytical experience· P&C insurance knowledge a plus· Knowledge of database structures a plus· Knowledge of SDLC a plus
