The Construction & Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell’s delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction & Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction & Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction & Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you’ll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.

 

In this role, you will construct, erect, install, and repair wood, plywood, and wallboard structures using hand and power tools while adhering to local building codes. You will read and interpret construction documents and may also install concrete reinforcements, perform trim work, and install doors and hardware.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Follow established safety rules.
  • Provide leadership to carpenter helpers, apprentices, and laborers.
  • Erect scaffolding and construct forms.
  • Install anchor bolts, reinforcing steel, and embeds.
  • Frame floors, walls, and roof structures.
  • Perform demolition of concrete and wood structures.
  • Maintain or modify woodwork and other structures.
  • Occasionally work around hazardous materials and equipment.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiar with standard carpentry concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established guidelines.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift 10-50 lbs.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for equipment use.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, talking, and hearing required.
