What are the responsibilities and job description for the Miami HEAT Charitable Fund Assistant position at The HEAT Group?
The Miami HEAT is looking for a Charitable Fund Assistant! This role would assist with the fundraising arm of the team, while working alongside the players and coaches to support their local philanthropic endeavors and special events for the team. Coordinate Game Day I Game Night Operations for Home Strong, the team's military recognition effort under Pat Riley. Handle all incoming charitable requests and coordinate logistics for charitable player appearances for the organization. Promote the value of the organization throughout the South Florida area. Lead all aspects of logistics for player involvement at signing days, holiday related initiatives and all other requests for community support. Optimally donate and forward all charitable signed items to events and not for profit organizations for use at local fundraising opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are examples of the various functions required. The job requirements are not limited to the items on this list.
I. Act as a liaison between VP/Executive Director and the board of directors and the rest of the organization. Meet with the board regularly to keep them informed on operational issues and work with members to initiate strategic solutions to sophisticated challenges.
a. Maintain all financial records of fund deposits and disbursements.
b. Build minutes for all board meetings.
2. Produce all fundraising events including but not limited to the Family festival, Concert/Gala, and Golf Toumament.
a. Prioritize all aspects of the events.
b. Sell tickets to each of the above mentioned events.
c. Ensures corporate partner fulfillment of activations.
d. Coordinate all restaurant, food and beverage aspects of the events.
e. Safeguard load in and load out of all events.
f. Handle celebrity requests and HEAT Family involvement.
3. Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the player community outreach ticket program.
a. Work with the players on integration of the program.
4. Game night duties to include but not limited to Home Strong coordination, Honorary Guest Ball Kid fulfillment and all other pre and post game player meet and greets

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S) in preferably related to Business and Sport Administration and secretarial skills including knowledge in Microsoft Office and Outlook is strongly desirable.
Strong experience in volunteering in non-profit organizations/groups and charitable events, guest services, hospitality and knowledge in community outreach, sports, and event planning are preferable but not a requirement.
