Our team is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician who is primarily responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the community while also maximizing the living experience for our Residents. This individual must be self-motivated, work independently and a team player, complete tasks efficiently, provide quality service, and provide outstanding customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responds to work orders in a timely manner, including after hours on-call emergency requests. Participate in the on-call rotation with the rest of the Maintenance Team.
- Follows practices for the safe operation, maintenance and repairs of all facility equipment, including compliance with health, safety and OSHA programs, policies, procedures and reports.
- Assists with daily and weekly inspections/clean up of public areas such as the playground, dog park, fire hydrants, steps, light runs, trip hazards, building inspections, maintenance shop inspections and inventory of parts.
- Drywall/painting: full paint, touch-up paint and drywall repairs.
- Appliance repairs: include the repair, replacement of installations of major household appliances such as washers/dryers, microwaves, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, hot water tanks and air conditioners.
- Plumbing: includes the repair, replacement or installation of faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, unclogging main drains and clean outs.
- Grounds: maintain cleanliness of grounds on a daily basis. This includes pickup of cigarette butts, trash, dog feces and notifying Management of any needed repairs to edging, weeds and broken sprinkler heads.
- Snow removal: includes shoveling and placing salt on walkways, stairs, sidewalks and handicap parking areas.
- Prepare make-ready's for move-ins.
- Pool maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as Maintenance Technician in a multi-family property.
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and strength.
- CPO certified and EPA Universal certificate.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Have your own tools.
