Summary:
The Hershey Company Stuarts Draft plant is a Non-Union plant producing products such as Reese’s Pieces, Reese Cups, Reese Shapes, Reese Bars, Mr. Goodbar, Mounds, Almond Joy, NutRageous, Oh Henry, FastBreak, Whatchamacallit, Baking Chips, etc. in a high-speed complex environment.
This position is responsible for and coordinates a variety of administrative functions including but not limited to recruitment, maintenance of employee records, leave of absence requests, employee relation issues, benefits issues, training tracking and tuition reimbursement. Serves as EEO Coordinator for the facility. This position uses data and metrics to develop recommendations/solutions to improve processes, communications, and other HR services. This position is HR Super User for SAP and VSS (Vacation Scheduling System). Provide administrative and project support when needed.
Responsibilities:
Talent First
- Oversees and supports execution of hourly talent acquisition process to ensure hourly recruitment goals are met.
- Plans organize and drives orientation on-boarding process for hourly and salaried workforce. Coordinate and track bid and training efforts to meet organizational needs. Support the tracking of Trades skills enhancement training and certification.
HR Excellence
- Collaborate with Corporate HR personal for the completion of annual EEO-1,VETS-100, annual Affirmative Action plans and any other government mandated reports.
- Contributes to human resource compliance efforts by ensuring guidelines and policies are consistent and enforced in the areas of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.
- Oversight of Employee Handbook to include coordination of updates to ensure relevancy, compliance, and consistency with manufacturing wide practices as appropriate
- Supports labor negotiations (where applicable).
- Leverages and educates others on available technology, shared services, HR services and procedures to meet customer needs.
- Works closely with various corporate departments to meet customer needs.
- Supports exiting employees, e.g., retirements, quits and severances.
A Great Place to Work
- Coordinates, communicates, and administers recognition programs. Tracks perfect attendance, retirement, and orders service awards.
- Prepares communications on employment related issues for the plant.
- Assists in answering day to day employee questions surrounding policy and procedures, directs to appropriate resources as required.
- Supports employee engagement administration.
- Serves as a point person for cafeteria, vending, uniforms, and other employee programs
- Assists with STD administration.
- Completes local wage survey (s).

- Assist in training documentation and coordination. Assist with research and special projects as required.
- Provides support to various department projects as assigned. Participates in data collection, analysis, and reporting as requested. Responsible for assisting in developing and implementing administrative procedures and driving improvements through Human Resources and other areas.
Scope:
- Supports approximately 1,188 employees (1,100 hourly)
- Reports to Human Resource Manager

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent education or experience is preferred
- 3 years progressive ER, LR, Training, Employment, and/or Safety experience
- Previous experience in building HR capabilities, employee relations, staffing and training and development is a plus
