Shipping Coordinator

Hilco Vision has expanded and is searching for an experienced Shipping Coordination with M3 experience to join the team! The Shipping Coordinator performs a variety of shipping tasks including routing, scheduling, ASNs, completing required paperwork for shipments, and partnering with internal teams to ensure cost effective courier services. The Shipping Coordinator also assists to lead the work of the shipping personnel performing related tasks.
The hours for this shift will be 8:00am – 4:30pm.

A Little Bit About You:

• You have demonstrated experience in shipping international, Wal-Mart (as well as other large chain), and EDI consignments
• Your attention to detail and analytical skills are unmatched – you’re able to prepare routine and non-routine paperwork efficiently and correctly
• An excellent communicator, you’re able to work with and train co-workers, as well as engage with other employees at all levels of the organization
• You are proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
• You have experience receiving, tracking, and distributing material, supplies and equipment
• You’re able to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers on pick lists, shipping labels, and tracking information
• You have knowledge of small parcel or freight shipping methods and procedures
• You may have experience using Pointman, Accupac and Infor M3
• You understand that a distribution center moves very quickly, and are willing to jump in wherever needed if a deadline needs to be met
• Despite being in a busy environment, you’re able to remain focused and multitask when necessary

The Nitty Gritty:

• Prepares and routes outbound shipments; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
• Organize daily workflow and prioritize shipments based on pickup time or ship date scheduled.
• Effectively communicate with management team to ensure on-time delivery is achieved for all shipments.
• Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Prepares bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against work orders to establish that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, insures, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery documents.
• May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine; may operate company vehicle to deliver shipments; may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area; may lock warehouse and set alarms.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
• Actively participates in continuous process improvement initiatives to improve quality and on-time delivery.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
