What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Bookkeeper/Admin position at The Holton Company, LLC?
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to monitor all financial data and prepare accurate statements for our company. Accountant responsibilities include bookkeeping and budgeting. You will act as an adviser for management on financial statements and expense analysis. Ultimately, you will ensure all our accounting transactions are properly entered and completed.
Responsibilities
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. bank statements and credit cards)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
- Forecast costs and expenses
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and subcompanies)
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
- Analyze financial trends
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
- Understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge of accounting regulations
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail
- Time-management abilities
- Confidentiality
