What are the responsibilities and job description for the Painter position at The House Doctor?
The House Doctor is seeking an individual who possesses advanced skills in the painting trade to join our team. We work on a variety of projects and seek a person who takes pride in their work, enjoys learning new skills, and enjoys what they do.
Required:
- Experience with Glazing Window
- Experience with patching/repairing rot
- Experience with Drywall repairs/patching
- Proper prep techniques before painting such as: priming, caulking, filling nail holes
- Working cell phone capable of receiving text messages
- Physical ability to complete jobs including but not limited to climbing ladders and a good sense of balance
- Knowledge to differentiate between the need to use rollers, brushes, spray paints, and types of paint in accordance to the needs of the project
- Solid background of operating painting equipment such as brushes, rollers, power washers, sanders, spray equipment, etc.
- Working, Insured Vehicle
- Excellent communication skills aimed at understanding project needs and ensuring they are met
- Professional demeanor and appearance to represent the company on job sites
- Ability to handle both the planning and prep work phases in a time efficient manner
- Capability of handling painting jobs independently and working with team members to accomplish tasks
What is the House Doctor Looking For? We seek quality employees who are looking for long term employment with the company. We require a valid driver's license, a working vehicle which is registered and insured, and basic tools in one's trade.
