- Responsible for the oversight of activities for a designated functional area within warehouse operations. This includes direct supervision over a staff of crewmembers as well as timely completion of required system work and paperwork.Schedules departmental crewmembers and their specific assignments.
- Ensures efficient execution and completion of each required process within their functional area(s).
- Reports and analyzes Key Performance Indicators to measure operational efficiency.
- Hires and trains new crewmembers and provides regular training/instruction to achieve personnel and performance standards.
- Communicates with Management, other supervisors, and crewmembers to ensure that scheduling changes and information that impacts productivity is fully considered and coordinated.
- Purchases supply items required for day-to-day operations.
- Operates and/or utilizes various types of equipment and tools such as a forklift, reach truck, stock picker, pallet jack, mechanic's tools, etc.
- Performs general housekeeping duties that involve organizing the warehouse, disposing of cardboard, and general cleaning.
- May cross train to perform other duties.
