The Spa Manager is responsible for:

  • Employee recordkeeping including, but not limited to, benefit and personnel information
  • Oversight and maintenance of Spa software program
  • Appointment booking and point of sale system
  • Act as a Manager on Duty as needed.
  • Directs all efforts toward employee and guest satisfaction and the achievement and maintenance of The Spa standards and profit maximization. 

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:                 

  • Assist with the day-to-day operation of the spa.
  • Assist the management team by providing them with the leadership necessary to attain their business goals and objectives.
  • Interacts with guests as needed to ensure optimum guest service and satisfaction.
  • Analyze and translate guest interactions into service and facility improvements.
  • Respond to employees’ and guests’ needs with genuine concern and a sense of urgency.
  • Assist with daily and hourly adjustments of provider schedules such as: adding or moving lunches and appointments, upgrading, or changing appointments, adding, or releasing providers and rectifying general spa soft issues.
  • Assist with the development of business strategies and project plans to ensure that the design and implementation of new concepts, methods, and policies and procedures relating to the Spa are aligned with company and department goals.
  • Adhere to all standard policies and procedures.
  • Instill a superior employee orientation and promote an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Perform all employee and guest activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, at all times maintaining a commitment to employee and guest satisfaction.
  • Develop a professional and on-going relationship with employees and guests.
  • Discussion of internal matters of any sort with guests is not permitted.
  • Communicates thoroughly, clearly, and concisely across departments and through levels within the company. 
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and employees in all Houstonian departments.
  • Help achieve our common goals of maximizing guest satisfaction and profit margins.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and organized at all times.
  • Utilize excellent time management and organizational skills while balancing multiple priorities and projects. Attends meetings as required.  Participate actively on the Spa Management Operations team. 
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards co-workers, guests and the job being performed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as directed.
  • Maintain appropriate employee e-time, benefit, and general personnel record-keeping.
  • Prepare and complete the bi-weekly payroll process in a complete and accurate manner.
  • Provide on-going oversight of provider’s schedules maximizing room availability.
  • Assist with the maintenance of shift changes and room assignments.
  • Conduct the Spa New Hire orientation.
  • Maintain current service provider licenses.
  • Maintain training and meeting attendance records.
  • Assist with sourcing additional staff coverage for groups and special events.
  • Assist with checking guest service coordinator daily paperwork and cash deposits.
  • Understand and operate point of sale.
  • Manage and communicate employee or company information by posting information in appropriate areas.
  • Move and block time off requests.
  • Maintain all Spa phone lists, birthdays, and anniversaries.
  • Maintain daily oversight and management of Spa software information such as: employee, activity, provider, and facility data.
  • Be available as a key point person for Providers to upgrade and/or change guest’s appointments.
  • Must maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.

WORK SCHEDULE:     

  • The Spa functions 12-16 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. All employees must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to change an associate from their usual shift as business needs change.
  • The Spa is currently open to guests from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Wednesday and from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Thursday through Sunday. This may change based on business needs.
  • Report to work on time for your scheduled shifts.
  • Weekend work schedules are a part of this position.
