What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Specialist/Installer position at The HUB Stadium?
Work in the field at all stages from the rough-wiring phase to final systems calibration and training
A long-term full-time position is open for a person willing to work hard and develop additional skills in the field of custom electronic installation and integration for a 70,000 square foot multi-sectional space.
Work includes design, installation, and service for:
- Low-voltage infrastructure wiring
- A/V electronics
- Wired and Wireless IP Networks
- Burglar Security Alarm System
- Video Surveillance Systems
Employee Expectations:
- Establish the cabling infrastructure needed for successful deployment of systems in both retrofit and new construction with familiarity of standards
- Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual equipment installation, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, audio hardware and speakers, control systems.
- Perform cable pull paths, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with audio-visual equipment on-site
- Employee will work independently and with a team to complete custom integration projects based on written proposals and system quotes
- Must have positive attitude, problem-solving skills, aptitude & drive to learn independently about business technologies
- Employee is expected to thoroughly document project details and work with a project manager to ensure fulfillment of customer expectations and company guidelines
- Work includes year-round, indoor & outdoor commercial installation & service
- Must be able to communicate effectively in spoken & written English with co-workers & managers, vendors, trades, builders
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, vlans, and VPN
Employee Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the audio and video field installing commercial equipment
- Knowledge of audio/video/networking equipment and wiring
- Knowledge wire termination including soldering, crimping, punch-down etc.
- Knowledge of current networking parameters
- Basic knowledge of construction, reviewing blueprints
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems in the field
- Must be professional in appearance, attitude, and reliable
- Must be organized and able to complete tasks within time frame provided
- Must be able to work well as a team player and independently
- Must be able to pay attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Must be able to receive, accept and complete tasks with a professional approach
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted as well as climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be okay with occasional work in adverse weather conditions Capable of working in tight/cramped workspaces-kneeling, crawling etc.
- Motivated, self-starter, ambitious, punctual and honest
- A valid driver license with a clean driving record
