A day in the life…
Wondering what a day in the life of the Controller at The Iowa Clinic might look like? You will:
- Provide leadership and development for the accounting team, including provider compensation and payroll processing.
- Review, interpret and analyze financial and budget information
- Perform complex projections of financial data.
- Oversee and direct the preparation of monthly financial reporting for all corporations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Plan and coordinate year-end audits and implement improvements to internal accounting procedures, controls and systems.
- Perform complex cash management functions to ensure adequate cash flow for obligations.
- Plan and project corporate taxes and coordinate tax return completion.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer in developing and implementing Finance policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Pro-actively identify and resolve issues to assure high quality, efficient, cost-effective financial services consistent with the needs of The Iowa Clinic.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial related field.
Qualifications
- 8 plus years of experience in accounting or related position with a minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
- Previous health care related financial accounting and leadership experience preferred, ideally in a multi-specialty group practice.
Required Licenses
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
