The Judge Group is seeking a Cost Accountant for a manufacturing company located in Athens, TN area
Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Athens, TN Area
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities:
- Performs month-end close process and assists in the analysis and preparation of divisional financial results for the corporate consolidation
- Prepares month-end close journal entries
- Cost Accounting: participates in the annual inventory revaluation, maintains standard costs of raw materials and manufactured items
- Perform month end close activities related to cost accounting
- Prepare estimates of new and proposed product or service costs
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costs of finished goods and production components in an ERP system.
- Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or related field required
- 2 years in cost accounting experience
