Description

JDP is seeking a Human Resources Director in Elmira, NY area. The candidate will be responsible for providing guidance and advice to managers and supervisors follow HR policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for maintaining effective programs for retention, training, developing & implementing HR policies and succession planning.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing human resources policies
  • Supporting strategic objectives
  • Manage LOA, PFL, WC
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  • Managing staff wellness and performance reviews
  • Motivating and supporting current staff
  • Maintaining staff records
  • Handling employee benefits
  • Identifying staffing needs and creating job descriptions
  • Designing and directing training programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership/team management skills required
  • 20 years of experience required
  • Highly organized
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Computer literacy
