The Keller Group is proudly supporting a close client in their search for a new add-to-tea Asset Manager. In this role you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of assets, primarily focusing on recovering judgments. This role requires a strong understanding of asset management and legal processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work autonomously to maximize asset recovery. You will collaborate closely with legal and asset management teams to successfully manage and recover distressed assets.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of distressed assets, focusing on maximizing recovery through effective asset management strategies.
- Develop and implement individualized asset management plans for each account, prioritizing assets based on recovery potential.
- Lead post-judgment recovery efforts.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all recovery actions comply with state and federal laws.
- Negotiate settlements with debtors, attorneys, and third-party representatives to secure favorable outcomes.
- Draft and review settlement agreements, ensuring that all terms are legally sound and clearly defined.
- Maintain detailed records of all asset management activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Regularly report on portfolio performance, recovery rates, and key asset management metrics to senior management.
- Analyze trends and provide insights to improve asset management strategies and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in judgment collection, debt recovery, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal laws related to judgment collection. (preferred)
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with collection software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
